What each division has actually paid

This is the part almost nobody publishes. Averaged across the 687 PowerBall XTRA draws with a published prize breakdown, counting a division only in the draws where it was actually won. Different match requirements are kept separate when a division changed, and each row shows its recorded sample:

How to read this

Average prize is averaged over the draws where that division was won, not over every draw. Including the unwon draws as zero would drag the top division towards nothing and tell you less than it hides. The no winners column counts those draws separately. A recorded rollover requires an explicit source flag; zero winners alone does not establish one.

The top division is shared between however many tickets match, so a large jackpot split three ways pays each winner a third. That is why average winners matters as much as average prize: a division that typically pays R282,882.77 is paying that to 2.4 people at a time, not to one.

These are historical payouts. They describe what has been paid, not what the next draw will pay, and a bigger advertised jackpot does not improve anyone's chance of winning it.

Payout data read from the published prize breakdown for each draw: 687 PowerBall XTRA draws, 11 December 2015 to 8 September 2026. This is a partial archive that grows with each collection run, so every figure above states the sample it came from. See the PowerBall XTRA results archive and the number statistics.
